Master21 was started as a coding school in 2016 by Melanie Kovacs and Rodrigo Hänggi. Master21's mission is to create transformative learning experiences for business professionals who want to make an impact.
Founder & CEO
Every since Melanie was a child, she saw potential in people and wanted to help them fulfill it.
After business school, she co-founded the non-profit Aspire to bring more diversity into tech. To date, she has facilitated several educational programs such as Startup Weekend, the Aspire Accelerator & Mentorship Program and TEDxZurich.
Working closely with developers at Ginetta, she started to learn to code. Melanie is committed to building a purpose-driven, diverse and fun community of Master21 students, team members and organizations.
Chanel is passionate about technology and chose to venture into the IT industry after an apprenticeship as an Office Clerk. With a Swiss federal degree in computer science she managed projects for different companies in the automobile industry and worked as a software developer at web agencies.
As she well knows how challenging it can be to learn a programming language, she’s passionate about sharing her technical knowledge and experience with programming beginners and enabling them to gain confidence through their newly gained coding skills.
Barbara is a creative and empathic person, driven by her deep interest
in connecting with people and understanding their strengths and needs.
After having graduated with a master in computer science from ETH, Barbara worked in
the last decade as a senior consultant, senior developer and agile project manager
in various IT companies and was part of the management in the last company.
Lena is a student of economics and politics who is currently working as an intern at Master21. She has just started to learn the basics of coding but immediately fell in love with its possibilities.
It feels to her like learning a new language or experiencing a foreign culture.
