What will my skill level be after the coding bootcamp?
After the coding bootcamp you have a solid foundation in modern web development. You know how technologies work and how to make ideas become real.
You have experience working on real projects, including your own, from idea to live product. You will have automated repetitive tasks, built a simple website and interactive web application
Can I learn this?
We believe anybody willing to, can learn to program. No matter your age, gender or background, we accept you if you are motivated enough.
Is this really the right level for me?
The program’s structure allows you to learn at your own pace. If you are a complete beginner, you can do this, as no prior technical knowledge or skills are necessary. And even if you have studied computer science, the program will be challenging for you.
Can I learn what interests me?
We believe you should learn what you’re most interested in. We built flexibility into the bootcamp’s structure. Personal mentors, AMA (ask me anything) sessions and personal projects allow you to focus on what interests you most.
Is Ruby the right programming language for me?
Our goal is to teach you a programming language. But more importantly, we aim to equip you with a backpack of useful concepts and a problem-solving mindset.
We use Ruby on Rails because it is simple and fun and provides the perfect start into web development. Rails allows you to build web applications quickly. Twitter or Shopify are examples of web applications built on Rails. Once you learnt Ruby on Rails you can easily proceed to learn any other language. Learn more about what Ruby has to offer from the creator of Rails, DHH.
What if I have to miss a session or stop it all?
Sometimes work, friends, family and other commitments take over. Life is unpredictable. We get it. We want to help you to fit learning into your life. That is why our coding bootcamp is partly online, partly on campus and you get a dedicated mentor. You’ll be able to do more sessions in one week and less in another. If you want to recap something, you simply rewatch a session or talk to your mentor.
If for whatever reason, you need to interrupt the Bootcamp, you can join one of the next ones.
Is it worth the money?
Our graduates loved what they learnt, created and how they grew personally and professionally.
Some made a career change, some started building websites for clients and some started their own projects with other attendees. They all got more confidence, new perspectives and friends.
Here is what they say:
“This was the best damn course I did in 20 years.” - Bettina
“The bootcamp was a great stepping stone. I did not only learn a programming language but gained a general better technical understanding. It helped me grow professionally.” - Romeo
Yes you get a certificate issued by Master21. However, we do hope that you’re more motivated to show off your completed projects and your newly gained skills and knowhow.
What are my payment options?
You can pay in maximum three rates. Our bootcamp is tax deductable. Check whether your company might be willing to pay a part of the costs. Several of our alumni did it this way.
In what languages are the bootcamps?
The bootcamp is in English. Q&A and projects in German or English.
Where are the courses?
At Impact Hub Zurich.
Do you offer a guarantee?
Yes, we offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee for the coding bootcamp and the codeweek. Here’s how it works. If after completing the program, you don’t feel more confident talking with developers, we’ll gladly refund you your entire course fee.
We’ll ask for your completed homework and make sure you attended all the campus days, to make sure you gave it a go. We also ask what didn’t work for you so we can learn and improve. If these conditions are met, you’ll get a swift and complete refund.
You can make a request for a refund until 30 days after graduation from our courses.
